Round 8 Wrap.
A big weekend of sport and trivia. I reckon a few of us had afternoon naps today. And how about the fog. You girls are awesome getting around in dresses in 0 degrees.
D Grade.
With some late withdrawals Deb was thrown some challenges but she should not have worried as the d train continues its path to finals. A massive win by plenty over YJ.
Best On Was : India ( that’s not a misprint)
C Grade
Much of the same in this game with defence dominating and the goalers with great conversion. Mids put plenty of pressure on the ball carrier as the smashe TJ by about 50.
Best On. Jess Armstrong (social secretary to the stars)
B Grade
This youthful group of extraordinary players showed all their poise and experience to dominate their opponents. A great even contribution from all the girls.
Best On : Reggie (ring the) Bell.
A Grade
With Leatham playing her 250th the girls took time to settle in. YJ have beaten some strong teams and made less errors than our girls. Plenty of positives though and they will get them in our last round.
Best On : superstar spunk Megan Leatham.
Reserves
Now carrying the mantle of dads army this team made Tim Hayes look young again. But credit to them they got the job done as some players from the past rallied in Dons 150th to post an emphatic victory.
Best On. Darcy Pell.
Seniors
After a tumultuous week which resulted in some personnel changes the boys were looking to continue their good record at home. But YJ proved too big and strong and we probably were wasteful with the ball. We welcome Brian Darcy to the club as assistant to Mark and look forward to working with him.
Best On : Jimmy Ryan.

Finally a huge thank you to Jess as social secretary for organising the Trivia Night. A big night with about 85 people in attendance. Thanks to Sarge for a great job with the auctions which resulted in them giving us $500 on top of ticket sales and bar. Also thanks to Sue who worked the bar all night despite having massive troubles with maths.
We are lucky to have great young people giving back to our club.
